AI Smart Classification

AI Smart Classification is an AI-supported feature to facilitate an automated category mapping for items. In iPIM it is used when items are imported using the “Add catalog” function in iPIM SSP. Here, the user selects a supplier attribute from the catalog file which provides information about the category allocation of the imported items. This could be the device type. Based on the respective attribute values, an attempt is made to identify suitable iPIM categories during the further processing.


The attribute that the category mapping is based on, is selected in the “Configuration” step of the catalog creation process in “iPIM SSP” (shown above). The import summary in the “Catalog process” tab in “iPIM Supply” indicates whether a category mapping using “AI Smart Classification” was carried out (shown on the right-hand side).
