Configure mapping type “Template”

This chapter explains how to set up a mapping of the “Template” type whereby the mapping is added to an existing datafeed. The template of the mapping retrieves attribute values from the exported products. And based on that, a short product description is generated in the process of the export.

Step 1: Select a datafeed

In this step the respective datafeed is selected. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. Go to the “Datafeed-Exports” section of the iPIM Export module.
  1. Choose the datafeed from the list of datafeeds (in this case “Datafeed 1”). Possibly use the text search to filter the list of datafeeds by a search term.
  2. Click on the datafeed to select it.
  3. Go to the “Attribute mapping” tab.

Step 2: Create the mapping

In this step the selected datafeed is extended by the mapping mentioned above. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. From the “Mapping type” menu, select the option “Template”.
  2. Click on the Add button to generate a new mapping. Following this, the mapping is shown in the table.
  1. Click on the Edit button in the outer right card to call up the corresponding dialog box.
  1. Add the template key for the first attribute. Choose the attribute from the list of attributes. Possibly use the text search to filter the list of attributes by a search term.
  2. Click on the attribute an hold the mouse button pressed.
  3. Drag the attribute to the text field and drop it there.

Template keys follow the syntax “${attribute ID}”. Instead of adding attributes via drag & drop you can enter template keys manually.
  1. Configure the template as shown in the right-hand screenshot. In this example it is: ${DT704} with ${RS704} roast stages, ${BS704} bread slots and body made of ${BM704}
  2. Click on the ACCEPT button to save the template. In the process, the  template is validated*/**. If it is valid, the dialog box closes. The template is now configured.

You can put given strings between the template keys.
  1. From the menu “1st Target column configuration”, select the option “Constant”.
  2. In the “1st Target column” field, enter the column header for the export file.
  3. Click on the SAVE button in the lower right corner to save your settings.
Note
  • *If a template contains invalid template keys, a corresponding error message is shown in the text area below. Correct the errors and save the template again.
  • **Attribute IDs that contain hyphens cause an error. In order to bypass this, the ID needs to be enclosed in quotes. E.g. ${“607-1-LSF”} instead of ${607-1-LSF}

Step 3: Run the datafeed export

In the step, the datafeed export is executed. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. Move the mouse cursor over the datafeed. Then appears theAction menubutton.
  2. Click on theAction menubutton to call up the action menu behind it.
  1. Click on the “Export” action to trigger the datafeed export. If the process was successful, a corresponding message will appear.
  1. Call up the “Tasks” menu which is hidden behind the Tasks button in the header.
  2. In the row of the datafeed, click on the Herunterladen button to trigger the download. The export file can usually be found in your local download folder.
Note
In order to retrieve attribute values from a specific data locale, make sure to set the language of the datafeed to the corresponding language. This can be done in the “Datafeed” tab.
