Create products manually – novomind iPIM Documentation

In the “Taxonomies”-App of the iPIM Portal, you can create products manually. For this purpose, the mouseover menu bar offers an appropriate button.

This section explains how to create new products manually, using the example of a new product that is created in a category of the primary taxonomy:

Access the iPIM Portal and go to the “Taxonomies” app.
In the “Taxonomy search” card, select the primary taxonomy.
In the category directory, select the category in which you want to create a new product. Possibly use the text search to filter the list of categories by a search term.

Move the mouse cursor over the category. As you do, a menu bar with multiple buttons is shown.
Click on the button to call up the corresponding dialog box.

Select the option "New product" from the “Creation mode” menu.
Enter a product name in the “Product name” field.
Select the option "Product" from the “Product type” menu.

In order to generate, click on the ACCEPT button. If the process was successful, corresponding message is shown.
In order to cancel the process, click on the CANCEL button.

Once a product is created, you can use the “Create item“ action from the action menu to create items for the product. Click hereto learn more about this.
