Maintain attributes in the “PD” app

Using an example, this chapter explains how an attribute is maintained in the “Product details” app. In this example, the attribute “Shorttext (607-6-LSF)” is maintained for the product with the product number “P7000151201”. The attribute is maintained on the “german” and “english” locale levels, whereby the attribute values are stored on the product level and the main context level.

Call up the product

In this step, the product with the product number “P7000151201” is called up in the “Product details” app. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. Go to the “Product details” app.
  1. Enter the product number in the search field of the “Product search” card.
  2. Click on the SEARCH button to carry out the search. Following this, the product is shown below the search field.
  1. Tick the product to select the product level.

Maintain the attribute

In the step, the attribute “Shorttext (607-6-LSF)” is included in the table and maintained, beginning with the german locale level. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. Go to the “Attributes” tab.
  1. If not already set, select the main context level from the “Context” menu (in this case “Customer”).
  2. If not already set, select the german data locale from the “Locale” menu.
  3. Include the attribute “Shorttext (607-1-LSF)” in the table. To do so, click on the Attributes button above the table.
  1. Use the text search in the left column to filter the list of available attributes by a search term.
  2. Select the attribute. To do so, click on the attribute to transfer it from the left button to the right column.
  3. Click on the ACCEPT button to finalise the attribute selection. Following this, the dialog box closes and the attribute is shown in the table.
  1. Double-click in the table cell of the attribute, enter the attribute value and leave the table cell.
  1. Click on the SAVE button below the table to save the attribute value. If the saving was successful, a corresponding message will appear.
  1. From the “Locale” menu, select the option “English” to switch the locale.
  2. Double-click in the table cell of the attribute, enter the attribute value and leave the table cell.
  1. Click on the SAVE button once again to save the attribute value. If the saving was successful, a corresponding message will appear.
    The attribute value is now maintained.
