Using an example, this chapter explains how to maintain attributes on multiple locale levels parallely using the “Attributes” app. In this example, three attributes of the product with the ID “P7000151201” are maintained on the locale levels “German”, “English” and “Greek”, whereby the attributes are maintained on the product level and on the main context level.
Detailed information about how to maintain attributes in the “Attributes” app you can find here.
Call up the product and select locales
In this step, the product is called up and the locale levels are selected. To do so, proceed as follows:
- Enter the product number in the “Product-/Item number” field.
- From the “Locale” menu, select the corresponding locale levels.
- Click on the button to carry out the search. Once the search was completed, the product is shown below the search mask.

- Tick the product to select it.

Select the context level and set the data view
In this step, the main context level is selected and the appropriate data view is set. To do so, proceed as follows:

- If not already set, select the main context level from the “Context” menu (in this case “Customer”).
- If not already set, select the option “Localized” from the “Data view” menu, so that all the selected locale levels are shown in the table.
- If not already set, select the option “Attributes” from the “Display” menu, so that the selected locale levels are shown next to each other.
Include attributes in the table and maintain them
In this step, the attributes are included in the table and they are maintained. To do so, proceed as follows:
- Click on the
button above the table to call up the dialog box for selecting attributes.
- Select the first attribute:
- Use the text search above the left column to filter the list of attributes by a search term.
- Transfer the attribute from the left column to the right column in order to select it. To do so, click on the attribute.
- Select the remaining attributes as described above.
- Click on the button to finalise the attribute selection. Following this, the dialog box closes and attributes are shown in the table.

- Double-click in a table cell.
- Enter the desired value.
- Leave the table cell.
- Maintain the other attributes as described above.

- Click on the button in the footer to save your input. If the process was successful, a corresponding message appears.
The attributes are now maintained.
