Using an example, this chapter explains how to add a category of a particular taxonomy to a product. Hereby, a suitable category of a sales taxonomy is added to the product with the product number “P7000152301”.
Call up the product
In this step, the product with the product number “P7000152301” is called up:
- Go to the “Product details” app.
- Enter the product number in the search field of the “Product search” card.
- Click on the button to carry out the search. Following this, the product is shown below the search field.

Allocate the category
In this step, the relevant category of the sales taxonomy “Sales 704” is added to the product:
- Go to the “Taxonomies” tab.
- Tick the product. Following this, the already allocated categories are shown in the right-hand table.

- Click on the button to call up the corresponding dialog box.
- If not already ticked, tick the product in the “Product-/Variant number” menu.
- From the taxonomy selection menu, select the taxonomy (in this example “Sales 704”). Following this, the corresponding category directory is shown below the menu.
- Choose the relevant category from the category directory (in this example “Egg cooker”). Possibly use the text search to filter the list of categories by a search term.
- Click on the category to select it.
- Click on the button to finalise the category allocation. If the process was successful, a corresponding message will appear.
The category is now allocated to the product.
