Update product data via a datafeed

Using a simple example, this chapter explains how to update product data in iPIM using a datafeed export. First, the product data of an exemplary product is exported as a .xlsx file using a datafeed export. Following this, the product data in the export file is updated. The export file is re-imported via an iPIM Supply catalog, whereby the attributes from the export file are mapped to the appropriate iPIM Supply attributes. And finally, a synchronisation is carried out in order to update the product data in iPIM accordingly.

In this example, an attribute of the exemplary product with the product number “P7000247501” is to be updated:

The attributes shown on this screenshot are exported using a datafeed. In the export file, the value of the attribute “Attribute 0925 QA3” is updated. And finally, the export file is re-imported via “iPIM Supply” to update the product data in “iPIM” accordingly.

In this example, an existing datafeed is used. For this datafeed, the appropriate attribute mappings and filters are created in order to export the attributes of the exemplary product shown above.
