Create list of values attributes

List of values attributes are attributes that can possess a set of multiple predefined values from which the user can choose one or several values, depending on the attribute type. Additionally, a value mapping can be used to specify that a particular value is set for a related attribute, once the user selects a certain value for the initial attribute.

This chapters shows how to create an attribute with a list of values, using the example of an optional standard attribute on the item level, that depicts the various shades of a main color.  Additionally, a dependent value mapping is set up. The value mapping effects that a value is set for the related main color attribute, once a value is set for the attributes that depict the various color gradation.

In the “Value mappings” tab you can set up value mappings for an automatic setting of attribute values. Such a value mapping effects that a specified value is set for a related attribute when the user selects a particular value for a source attribute. This chapters explains how to set up a value mapping using the example of a value mapping which effects that a value is set for the related main color attribute, once a color gradation value is set for this exemplary color gradation attribute.
