File transfer profiles are connection settings for transfering product data which are used in various places. This chapter explains how to set up file transfer profiles using the example of a file transfer profile for the download of data such as datafeed export file.
In order to create a file transfer profile, proceed as follows:
- Go to the “File transfer profile” area of the “System setup” section in iPIM CC.
- Click on the button in the footer to call up the corresponding dialog box.
- Enter an identifier for the file transfer profile in the “ID” field.
- Click on the
button in the “Name” field to get to the slider where you can enter the multilingual names for the file transfer profile.
- Enter the multilingual names for the file transfer profile in the various input fields. You don’t have to fill in all the input fields.
- Click on the
BACK button to get back to the previous slider.
- Click on the button in the “Description” field to get to the slider where you can enter the multilingual short descriptions for the file transfer profile.
- Enter the multilingual short descriptions for the file transfer profile in the various input fields. You don’t have to fill in all the input fields.
- Click on the BACK button to get back to the previous slider.
- From the “Tranfer type” menu, select the option “Download”.
- Click on the button to finalise the creation of the file transfer profile. If the process was successful, a corresponding message will appear.
The file transfer profile is now created.
