FAQ
Which role types are available?
When creating a role, you can choose between the role types Standard, Standard (with worklist visibility), Toolbox role and Workbox role. Standard is the standard role type in which you can group given user rights. Standard (with worklist visibility) extends the standard role type by the access to worklists which are shared with all the users. A toolbox role groups the rights to use particular apps so that these apps appear in the toolbox section of the left sidebar for a quick access to them. A workbox role can be used to grant the permission to use a related workbox.
What is a master role?
First introduced in version 5.5.1, the master role menu lets you determine whether a role is a subordinate master role. A master role can be used to group roles: by assigning a master role to a user, all the roles that are grouped in the master role are assigned to the user at once. And when removing the master role, all the grouped roles are revoked from the user at once.
Why can users with a particular role only log in to a particular client?
If a client is assigned to a role in which login rights are grouped, users to whom this role is assigned can only access this client.
What happens when I create a workbox role?
When creating a workbox role, an event type of the same name is established. This event type serves as a workbox (workflow task). Via a workbox role it can be specified which users can assign products to a workbox using the “Send to” action. Though, it is also possible to create an event type directly in order to specify a workbox independent from a workbox role. Users possessing the right “ipim-portal.actions.send-to” can assign products to it.
Why can’t I select particular rights when copying rights?
The copying of rights will be applied to all the listed rights. Selecting particular rights by ticking them does not work.
