FAQ
What are filters used for in the datafeed export?
Using filters you can limit the selection of exported product datasets by certain criteria. The filter criteria are particular product numbers, particular categories, or particular attribute values. You can limit the export to products that match the selected filter criteria, or you can exclude them from the export.
Can different filter criteria be combined?
Yes, product filters, category filters, and attribute filters can be combined. The filter criteria can even be combined to narrow down the selection of exported product datasets even further.
What are the radiobuttons under “Data levels” used for in the product selection dialog box?
Via the radiobuttons you can select a data level. By this, you can choose whether the result list shows either products or items. Your selection does not have any effect on the search itself.
What happens if I tick individual items instead of whole products in the result list of the product selection dialog box?
You can tick individual items, but the filters are created for the superordinate products. Filters for individual items can not be set up.
What happens if I select multiple products at once in the product selection dialog box?
If you tick multiple products, multiple product filters are created. In this case, one filter is created for each selected product.
What happens if I tick multiple categories at once?
If you ticked multiple categories, a separate category filter for each category is created.
What can be limited using an attribute filter?
Using attribute filters you can limit the export to products where certain attributes have particular attribute values: where a selected attribute has a particular filter value, does not have it, or where the value of the attribute is smaller or greater than the filter value.
Which filter conditions are available for attribute filters?
The following conditions are available: equals (the value of the selected attribute equals the filter value), not (the value does not equal the filter value), greater than, lesser than, not exists (the attribute does not possess a value), and not empty (the attribute has any given value). The conditions not exists and not empty are available since version 5.6.4.
Why do some conditions not work as expected for certain attributes?
The filter conditions greater than and lesser than only work for numerical values.
