Product comparison

The “Product comparison” app provides the the option to place multiple products, variants or items next to each other and view their attributes and texts as a direct comparison.

List search

Using the list search you can call up a group of products, variants or items. For example, in order to search for a group of products, proceed as follows:

1. Enter a list of product numbers in the “Number list” field . You can separate the numbers by semicolons or line breaks.
2. Click on the START LIST SEARCH button to trigger the search.
   The products which were captured by the search are shown in the “Product comparison” table.

Instead of using the list search to call up a group of products, you can also tick a group of products in almost any given table in iPIM Portal and apply the action “Compare” from the action menu respectively the context menu to them. But note: The action is only available if the app is installed.

Compare products

• To filter the list of displayed attributes by attribute name, attribute scope or attribute type, enter a relevant search term in the “Free text search” field .
  As you type, the attribute list updates accordingly.
• To reset the free-text search, click on the “Reset” icon () .
• To show or hide the “Context” menu, click on the button .
• To group the displayed product data according to a specific property (e.g. attribute type), drag the relevant column header into the grouping area ()  above the table.
• To display data at the same context level for all products shown, select the relevant context level from the “Context” menu .
• To display data for all products shown in the same locale, select the relevant locale from the language menu in the header bar.
• To display the product data for a specific language level for an individual product, select the desired language from the “Language” menu in the relevant table column. Then click the button  to refresh the display.
• To display the product data for a specific context level for an individual product, select the desired context via the “Context” menu  in the relevant table column. Then click the button to refresh the display.
• To display the product data for a specific supplier level for an individual product, select the desired supplier from the “Supplier” menu in the relevant table column. Then click the button to refresh the display.

Use the action menu

Using the action menu you can apply different actions to listed data in the table.

• In order to call up the action menu, click on the button in the footer.
• In order to invert the selection of table rows, click on the “Invert selection” option of the action menu.
• In order to export the data of all or selected table rows, click on the “Export” option of the action menu. Then click on the “Export” option of the submenu to call up the corresponding dialog box. Configure the export as desired and finally click on the “EXPORT” respectively “DOWNLOAD” button to initiate the export.
• In order to copy the data of specific table rows, columns or cells to the clipboard, make a corresponding selection, click on the “Clipboard” option of the action menu and then click on the appropriate option in the submenu.

Rights

The identifier of rights are not shown correctly here as hyphens are shown as half square dashs. In order to search for a particular right in iPIM CC, copy the key to the clipboard and search for the key.
