Texter

In the “Texter” app you can edit the multilingual product texts of a product. The same applies to text-based attributes, supplier attributes and the attributes which represent the selling points of a product.

1. Enter a product number of the product in the search field.
2. Press the “Enter” key of your keyboard. Following this, the data of the product is shown in the various cards.

• In order to view a shown digital asset in a data viewer window, click on the thumbnail image. Possibly use the different buttons of the data viewer to increase respectively decrease the magnification or rotate the digital asset.

• In order to view a shown digital asset in a data viewer window, click on the thumbnail image. Possibly use the different buttons of the data viewer to increase respectively decrease the magnification or rotate the digital asset.

The iconshows that texts for a particular item are still missing.

• In order to show the basic information of a particular item in the “Item overview” card, click on the respective item.

Create texts via the editor

In order to create texts via the editor, proceed as follows:

1. Via the left-hand menu, select whether you want to create a text on the product level or a text on the item level. If you chose the item level, select the respective item from the item list in the “Items” card.
2. Via the right-hand menu, select a locale (language level).
3. Depending on whether you want to create a plain text or a HTML-formatted text, enter the text in the corresponding section of the editor. If you enter a HTML-formatted text, make sure to include the required HTML tags.
4. Click on the SAVE button to save the text.

Editing existing texts works almost the same way.

Generate texts

In order to generate a text that is based on a template, proceed as follows:

1. Select a template from the “Template” menu.
2. Click on the GENERATE TEXT button to trigger the generating of the text. Following this, a dialog box appears. It shows the generated text.
3. Copy the text to the clipboard and click on the CLOSE button to shut down the dialog box.
4. Paste the text from the clipboard to the appropriate area of the editor.
5. Click on the SAVE button to save your input.

Product name and selling points

In this card you can edit the product name of the called-up product on the different locale levels. The same applies to the attributes which represent the selling points. In order to do so, proceed as follows:

1. Select a locale from the menu.
2. Edit the product name or a selling point:
   1. Click in the respective input field.
   2. Make the desired changes.
   3. Leave the input field.
3. Possibly make further changes to additional input fields.
4. Click on the SAVE button to save your changes.

Attributes

In this card you can edit localized character string attributes on the various locale levels. In order to do so, proceed as follows:

1. Select a locale from the menu.
2. Edit an attribute value:
   1. Click in the respective input field.
   2. Make the desired changes.
   3. Leave the input field.
3. Possibly make further changes to additional input fields.
4. Click on the SAVE button to save your changes.

You have to assign the property “IPIM_TEXTER_APP_DISPLAY_ATTRIBUTE” to an attribute and set it to “YES” for that the attribute is shown in this card. This can be done in the attribute configuration of “iPIM CC”. Though, only particular attributes such as localized character string attributes can be shown in this card.

Supplier attributes

In this card you can edit supplier attributes on the various locale and supplier levels. In order to do so, proceed as follows:

1. Select a locale from the left-hand menu.
2. Select a supplier level from the right-hand menu.
3. Edit an attribute value:
   1. Click in the respective input field.
   2. Make the desired changes.
   3. Leave the input field.
4. Possibly make further changes to additional input fields.
5. Click on the SAVE button to save your changes.

• Attributes that can be shown in this card are attributes of the type supplier attribute.
• You have to assign the attribute property “IPIM_TEXTER_APP_DISPLAY_ATTRIBUTE” to an attribute and set it to “YES” for that the attribute is shown in this card. This can be done in the attribute configuration of iPIM CC. Though, only particular attributes such as localized character string attributes can be shown in this card.

Rights

The identifier of rights are not shown correctly here as hyphens are shown as half square dashs. In order to search for a particular right in iPIM CC, copy the key to the clipboard and search for the key.
