FAQ
Why can some attributes not be edited on the variant or item level?
Some attributes can be edited on the product level, whereby the respective attribute values are then inherited by the variant and item level. Other attributes, however, are located on the variant or item level and can only be adjusted there.
How can I edit multiple attributes simultaneously?
Using the edit function, you can edit multiple attributes simultaneously. To do so, tick the desired attributes in the table and click on the button to call up the dialog box in which the values can be adjusted.
Can I show and edit several language levels simultaneously?
Yes, unlike in most other apps, the “Attributes” app makes it possible to show several language levels simultaneously so that they can be edited parallely. To do this, select the desired language levels via the corresponding menu in the search mask.
What is the difference between the localized and the non-localized view?
In the “Non-localized view”, only entries of a single language level are shown in the table, even if further language levels were selected via the “Locale” menu. In the “Localized view”, by contrast, the entries for all selected language levels are shown.
Why can attribute values sometimes not be edited in the localized view?
In order to be able to edit attribute values in the localized view, the option “Attributes” must be selected from the “Data view” menu.
Which language level is shown if multiple language levels are selected in the non-localized view?
In this case, the language level that comes first in the list of the selected language levels is shown.
Why is the language selection sometimes blocked?
Since version 5.6.3, the language selection menu in the “Search” card is blocked if the non-localized view is set. In this case, attributes can only be edited on the locale which is selected via the user interface language menu in the header of the user interface.
Why can a list of values entry sometimes not be related to a content object?
Relating content objects to attribute values only works for list of values of attributes where the attribute property SORTED_MULTIPLE_LOOKUP is either not set at all or it is set to “NO”.
Why is the button sometimes not shown to me when editing attribute values?
As of version 5.6, the right “ipim-portal.product-details.attribute.save” is required to save changes to attribute values. Users not possessing this right can make changes to attribute values, but the button is not shown to them.
