The “Product reviews” app shows the product reviews which exist for your products, whereby the iPIM system can serve as a central hub that stores product reviews from different sources. Learn moreProduct reviews can, for example, be imported automatically from connected shop systems via corresponding interfaces. And in the same way, they can automatically be transfered to multiple shop systems, so that product reviews from different sources can be shown in all the connected shop systems. Though, there is also the option to import and export product reviews via .xlsx files in case your shop system doesn't support an automated transfer of product reviews. You can also create product review datasets manually. In this way, you gain the option to include reviews that were received by your customer service, for example, verbally or by e-mail. In the app, you can edit, approve, block or delete product reviews. And if the system is configured accordingly, you can finish open tasks regarding the handling of product reviews. Less information

Search

The product search mask card offers various search functions that can be used to search for reviews of specific products.

First introduced in version 5.4.3: The property ipim.core.rating.cap.server can be used to specify the maximum number of product reviews that are retrieved in the process of a search operation.

Product search

Using the product search, you can search for reviews of individual products. To do so, proceed as follows:

1. Select the option “Product search” from the menu in the product search mask. Following this, the search field “Product number” is shown below the menu.
2. Enter a product number in the search field “Product number”.

• In order to execute the search, click on the SEARCH button. If there are product reviews for the selected product, the reviews will be shown in the “Review list” table.
• In order to reset the search and to empty the “Review list” table, click on the RESET button.

Since version 5.4.3 you can also search for item numbers.

List search

Using the list search, you can search for a list of product numbers. To do so, proceed as follows:

1. Select the option “Product search” from the menu in the product search mask. Afterwards, the search field “Number list” is shown below the menu.
2. Enter the appropriate product numbers in the search field “Number list”. You can separate the product numbers by semicolons or line breaks.

• In order to execute the search, click on the SEARCH button. If there are product reviews for the selected products, the reviews will be shown in the “Review list” table.
• In order to reset the search and to empty the “Review list” table, click on the RESET button.

Worklist search

Using the worklist search you can call up product reviews for the products which are included in a particular worklist. To do so, proceed as follows:

1. Select the option “Worklist” from the menu in the product search mask. Following this, the worklist directory is shown below the menu.
2. In the worklist directory, click on the worklist to select it.
   Possibly use the text search to filter the list of worklists by a search term.

• In order to carry put the search, click on the SEARCH button. If there are product reviews for the products from the selected worklist, the reviews will be shown in the “Review list” table.
• In order to reset the search and to empty the “Review list” table, click on the RESET button.

Refresh dynamic worklists

Via the corresponding button, you can refresh dynamic worklists. To do so, proceed as follows:

1. Move the mouse cursor over the dynamic worklist. The appears the button.
2. Click on the button to trigger the refreshing of the worklist. If the process was successful, a corresponding message appears.

4. Select the desired attributes:
   • In order to select an attribute, transfer it from the left column to the right column. To do this, click on the attribute.
   • In order to deselect an attribute, transfer it from the right column back to the left column. To do this, click on the attribute.
5. In order to include the selected attributes in the advanced search, click on the ACCEPT button. Afterwards the dialog box closes and the corresponding input fields and menus are shown in the product search mask.

6. Enter the appropriate search parameters in the input fields respectively select them from the menus.
7. Click on the SEARCH button to carry out the earch. Once the search was carried out, the reviews that were captured by the search are shown in the right-hand table.

Review list

Using the column header tools you can filter table entries or adjust their sequence. In order to filter table entries you can also use the free-text search. And you can customize the selection of attributes that are shown in the table.

Create review datasets

You can create product review datasets manually. In this way, you can also include ratings that have been received by your customer service, for example, via telephone or via e-mail. To do so, proceed as follows:

1. Click on the ADD button in the footer to call up corresponding dialog box.
2. Enter a product number in the input field “Product”.
3. Select a review system from the “Review system” menu.
4. Select an approval status from the “Approval” menu (YES/NO).
5. Enter a rating grade in the input field “Rating”.
6. Enter a review text in the input field “Text”.

• In order to finish the process, click on the ACCEPT button. A success message is shown. The product review is now created and it can be called up via the search functions.
• In order to cancel the process, click on the CANCEL button.

Edit product reviews

In order to edit a product review, proceed as follows:

Edit approvals

Via the “Approval” property you can determine, if a product review is, for example, shown in your online shop. Among other things, this provides the option to check product reviews for prohibited content before publishing them.

Approve product reviews

In order to approve product reviews, proceed as follows:

In order to approve a single product review, you can also double-click in the table cell of the “Approval” column, select the option “YES” from the menu and click on the “SAVE” button in the footer after leaving the table cell.

Revoke the approval from product reviews

In order to revoke the approval from product reviews, proceed as follows:

Delete product reviews

In order to delete product reviews, proceed as follows:

Using this action, you can export all the product reviews shown in the table as an .xlsx file, for example, to transfer the reviews to another system or to edit them outside of the iPIM system in a spreadsheet software and import them back into the system later. In order to export the product reviews, proceed as follows:

1. Use the search functions to call up the desired product reviews in the "Review list" table.

2. Click on the button to access the action menu.
3. Click on the option "Export all reviews" to call up the corresponding dialog box.

4. Enter a file name in the "File name" field .
5. Click on the EXPORT button to trigger the export.
   Once the export was completed, the export file can be found in your local download folder.

2. Tick the product reviews you want to export.

3. Click on the button to access the action menu.
4. Click on the option "Export selected reviews" to call up the corresponding dialog box.

5. Enter a file name in the "File name" field .
6. Click on the EXPORT button to trigger the export.
   Once the export was completed, the export file can be found in your local download folder.

Import product reviews

You can import product reviews which, for example, were exported from your shop system. To do so, proceed as follows:

1. Click on thebutton to access the action menu.
2. Click on the option “Import reviews” to call up the corresponding dialog box.
3. Drag the import file over the drop area and drop it there. Alternatively, click on " Browse files" to call up the import file via the file manager.
   The file is loaded into the cache and the file name of the file is shown below the drop area.

• In order to finish the process, click on the IMPORT button. A success message is shown. The import is now completed and the uploaded review datasets can be called up via the search function.
• In order to cancel the process, click on the CANCEL button.

Use an appropriate import template to guarantee a correct import of the review datasets and a correct mapping to the corresponding products. An import of .csv files is not possible.

Analzye product reviews

Using this action you can utilize the AI service Customer review approval in order have product reviews checked via AiHub and possibly have them approved. In order to do so, proceed as follows:

1. Click on thebutton to access the action menu.
2. Click on the option “Analyze reviews” to trigger the analyzing of product reviews. If the process was successful, a corresponding message will appear. The product reviews which passed the checks are now approved. And the checking results are shown by the corresponding attributes in the table.

In order to be able to use this action, the corresponding configurations need to be done.

Use the clipboard actions

• Possibly use one of the “Clipboard” actions to copy selected product review data to the clipboard. Then you can insert them in a table of a spreadsheet software. Further information you can find here.

Finish tasks

If the approving or revoking the approval of product reviews is a task that is assigned to a product, the “Product reviews” app offers an option to set a task to finished as soon as you have carried out the task.

Why doesn’t ticking individual reviews work for the simple export?

When triggering the export via the “Export reviews” option, all the listed product reviews are exported by default. Ticking individual product reviews has no effect on this function.

Which file format is required for the import and why?

An appropriate import template in .xlsx format should be used for the import to guarantee a correct import of the review datasets and a correct mapping to the corresponding products. An import of .csv files is not possible.

How do I finish a task related to editing approvals?

After carrying out the required changes to the approvals, the relevant reviews are ticked and the option “Finish task” is selected from the action menu. Ideally, you should call up a dynamic worklist that is based on a search for products for which the respective task has not yet been finished; this worklist is then refreshed accordingly after carrying out the “Finish task” action.

Can the maximum number of retrieved product reviews be configured?

First introduced in version 5.4.3, the property ipim.core.rating.cap.server can be used to specify the maximum number of product reviews that are retrieved in the process of a search operation.
