Tasks (App)

The table in this app shows a list of the processes that were carried out most recently. This includes processes such as executed reports, datafeed exports, the generating of text datasets or the export of product data using the “Export” action. The various table columns show information such as the process name, a short description, the number of affected resp. processed datasets (usually products), the status as well as the time of the process start and the time of the last change.

The “Tasks” app can be called-up via the corresponding tile in the app overview or via the link in the fold-out menu “Tasks”. The latter is hidden behind the button in the header bar. The fold-out menu and the “Tasks” app are also available in other modules such as iPIM CC, iPIM DAM or iPIM Export.

First introduced in version 5.6.1: Using the property ipim.tasks.refresh-interval you can specify the refreshing interval for the “Tasks” app.

Adjust the data view

Among other things, using the different tools you can filter for particular processes, change the order of the processes or hide resp. unhide individual processes.

• To filter the list of processes, enter the search term in the input field “Free-text search”. While you enter the search term, the list of processes narrows down to those which correspond to the search term.
• To reset the free-text search, click on the "Restore" icon ().
• Optional: Use the column header tools to customize the selection or order of the displayed processes. You can find more information in the chapter “Column header tools”.

Download files

For certain processes such as datafeed exports or the export of product data using the “Export” action, the corresponding file can be downloaded using the button in the respective table row:

• In the table row of the respective process, click on the button to trigger the download. Once the download is completed, the file can usually be accessed via your local download folder.

Use the action menu

Via the action menu in the footer you can apply different actions on the listed processes. To do so, proceed as follows:

• To call up the action menu, click on the "Action menu" icon () in the footer.
• To invert the selection of ticked table cells, click on the "Invert selection" option of the action menu.
• To export selected processes as a .xlsx or .csv file, use the "Export" action. Further information you can find here.
• To copy selected processes to the clipboard, use one of the "Clipboard" actions. Further information you can find here.

Using the actions from the submenus “Active selection” and “Export” requires the respective action rights.

Rights

The identifier of rights are not shown correctly here as hyphens are shown as half square dashs. In order to search for a particular right in iPIM CC, copy the key to the clipboard and search for the key.
