FAQ

Why can the ACCEPT button sometimes not be clicked when creating a text dataset?

If the “Check maximum length” checkbox is ticked, the entered text is checked while you type to see whether it exceeds the maximum length. If this is the case, the ACCEPT button is deactivated, so that the text dataset cannot be saved.

Why does the “Check maximum length” checkbox not appear for every text type?

The checkbox only appears if a maximum text length is specified for the selected text type. To do so, go to the “Types” section of iPIM CC, select the text type and enter the desired text length as the value for the attribute “Maximum length (texts)”.

Why is the button for editing a text dataset sometimes not shown?

In order to limit the editability of text datasets to particular users, you can specify a right as the edit right for the corresponding text type. Then only users possessing this right can edit text datasets of this type. To other users, the button is not shown.

In which texts can a newly created text module be inserted?

A newly created text module can only be inserted in texts of the same text type and language (locale).
