Validation of the sales channels

Using the action “Validation of the sales channels” you can check a product wether all the mandatory attributes and mandatory types for the sales taxonomies are maintained. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. In the respective product data table, tick the product which you want to validate.
  2. Click on thethree-dotbutton in the footer to access the action menu.
  3. Move the mouse cursor over the option “Validation” to show the corresponding submenu.
  1. Click on the option “Validation of the sales channels” to initiate the validation.Chevron rightIf the process was successful, a corresponding message will appear. The validation result is shown in the “Quality” info field on the dashboard of the “Product details” app. Furthermore, the status traffic lights in the “Taxonomies” tab assume the respective colors.
Note
In the “Productdetails” app you can trigger a validation without having to tick the respective product anew.

You can validate multiple products at once. To do so, tick all the products you want to validate.

Validation of secondary iPIM classifications

Using the action “Validation of secondary iPIM classifications” you can check a product wether all the mandatory attributes and mandatory types for the secondary taxonomies are maintained. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. In the respective product data table, tick the product which you want to validate.
  1. Click on thethree-dotbutton in the footer to access the action menu.
  2. Move the mouse cursor over the option “Validation” to show the corresponding submenu.
  3. Click on the option “Validation of secondary iPIM classifications” to call up the corresponding dialog box.
  1. Select a secondary taxonomy by transfering it from the left column to the right column. To do so, click on the taxonomy. You can also select multiple taxonomies.
  • In order to initiate the validation, click on the APPLY button.Chevron rightIf the process was successful, a corresponding message will appear. The validation result is shown in the “Quality” info field on the dashboard of the “Product details” app. Furthermore, the status traffic lights in the “Taxonomies” tab assume the respective colors.
  • In order to cancel the process, click on the CANCEL button.

In the “Productdetails” app you can trigger a validation without having to tick the respective product anew.

Validation of iPIM classification

Using the action “Validation of iPIM classifications” you can check a product wether all the mandatory attributes and mandatory types for the primary taxonomy are maintained. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. In the respective product data table, tick the product which you want to validate.
  2. Click on thethree-dotbutton in the footer to access the action menu.
  3. Move the mouse cursor over the option “Validation”. Then the corresponding submenu will appear.
  1. Click on the option “Validation of iPIM classification” to initiate the validation.Chevron rightIf the process was successful, a corresponding message will appear. The validation result is shown in the “Quality” info field on the dashboard of the “Product details” app. Furthermore, the status traffic light in the “Taxonomies” tab assumes the respective color.

FAQ

Where can I view the validation results?

The validation results are displayed in the “Quality” info field on the dashboard of the “Product Details” app. In addition, the corresponding status indicator in the “Taxonomies” tab changes to reflect the new status.

Apart from the basic rights listed here, a user needs the rights that are shown in the table.

Note
The identifier of rights are not shown correctly here as hyphens are shown as half square dashs. In order to search for a particular right in iPIM CC, copy the key to the clipboard and search for the key.
