FAQ
What is the difference between “append” and “apply” when editing attribute values?
Using the actions “Append value for selection” and “Append value for all” you can append the value of an attribute to the value of the same attribute of the respective products; the source value is appended or prefixed to the existing attribute value. Using the actions “Apply value for all” and “Apply value for selection”, on the other hand, the former attribute values will be replaced by the source value.
Which attribute types does the “Insert text module” action work for?
Using the action “Insert text module” you can insert an existing text module into the table cell of a localized attribute. Note: in this English documentation, the statement “This action only works for localized string type attributes” appears at the end of the “Create new text module” section rather than directly under “Insert text module”, so it’s not fully clear from the wording which of the two actions it refers to.
Where can text modules created via the “Create new text module” action be found?
Text modules that were created using this action can be found in the “Text modules” area of iPIM CC. Though, it depends on the selected UI language which text modules were shown. The list of text modules only shows text modules that were created in the selected language.
Why isn’t the “Only selected rows” checkbox always available when exporting?
This checkbox is only available if the respective table offers the option to tick table rows.
Where can I find an export file again later?
The export file can be downloaded in the “History” tab of the dialog box which can be accessed by clicking on the button in the header or in the “Processes” table of the “Tasks” app.
Why doesn’t “Copy selected cells incl. context column” work as described in every table?
This action only works as described in tables that do not feature checkboxes to select table rows. In tables with these checkboxes, whole table rows are ticked and selected.
