Catalog process (Golden Record source catalog)

A Golden Record source catalog is a special catalog type that is used to import item data of multi-supplier items, whereas each source catalog is used to import the item data of a particular supplier. In a three-stage process, the item data is imported, mapped to the corresponding attributes of the iPIM data model via a transformation and then approved. Later the item data from different source catalogs are merged in a Golden Record catalog. Via a so-called priorisation it is specified for each attribute from which of the different source catalogs the item data is taken and synchronized with the corresponding product datasets in iPIM. In this way, you can achieve a higher data quality by taking the “best-possible” supplier data for each attribute.

INFO
  • In order to be able to access iPIM Supply, a user needs to be related to at least one supplier.
  • In order to make newly added rights effective for users outside of the regular synchronisation, you must carry out a master data synchronisation for users and roles. This can be done in the “Schedules” tab.
  • The identifier of rights are not shown correctly here as hyphens are shown as half square dashs. In order to search for a particular right in iPIM CC, copy the key to the clipboard and search for the key.
