Using rules of this type you can assign default values to an attribut. The default value is always set when a supplier attribute does not contain a value. To define a cleansing rule of this type, proceed as follows:
- From the “Choose rule type” menu, select the rule type “Setting default values for attribute”.
- Click on the
button to call up the corresponding dialog box.
- Enter a name for the cleansing rule in the input field “Title”.
- From the drop-down menu “Order”, select the appropriate option. You can choose between:
- Before transformation: The attribute value modification also affects the supplier attributes.
- After transformation: The attribute value modification only affects the iPIM Supply attributes.
- From the “Attribute” menu, select the iPIM Supply attribute to which the cleansing rule is to be applied.
- Possibly enter a short rule description in the input field “Description”.
- Activate respectively deactivate the cleansing rule:
- To activate the rule, tick the “Activate rule” checkbox (default setting).
- To deactivate the rule, untick the “Activate rule” checkbox.
- Possibly tick the checkbox “Internal rule” to determine that the cleansing rule is an internal rule. Internal rules can be used as subordinate rule of certain rule types such as “Conditional attribue setting”.
- Specify the default value. Depending on the attribute type of the iPIM Supply attribute, you can either enter the default value in the input field “Default” value or you can select it from the selection menu behind it.
- Possibly configure a test run and carry it out in order to check the validity of the cleansing rule.
- In order to finish the configuration, click on the
button. If the process was successful, a corresponding message will appear. The cleansing rule of is now set up. - In order to cancel the process, click on the
button.
The kind of default value is determined by the attribute type of the iPIM Supply attribute. For example, an attribute of the type number can only have a number as its default value.
Even if there is now corresponding supplier attribute you can assign a default value to an iPIM Supply attribute. Under the transformation rules, define an attribute mapping for the iPIM Supply attribute and assign the option <Empty> as the supplier attribute.
