Splitted short text improvement

If supplier attribute values exceed the maximum length of the mapped iPIM Supply attributes you can use this type of cleansing rule to distribute these supplier attribute values across multiple iPIM Supply attributes. In this way, you can import overlong supplier attribute values into the system even if the maximum length of the mapped iPIM Supply attribute does not allow this. Learn more

Note
  • The overlong parts of supplier attribute values can only be distributed across iPIM Supply attributes of the same type and for which a maximum length is specified.
  • In order to distribute the overlong supplier attribute values across multiple iPIM Supply attributes, you have to add the respective attributes to the transformation rules manually using the “Replensish attribute mapping” function. And you have to assign the iPIM Supply attribute value <empty> to them.

In order to set up a cleansing rule of this type, proceed as follows:

  1. From the drop-down menu “Choose rule type”, select the rule type “Splitted short text improvement”.
  2. Click on the Add button to call up the corresponding dialog box.
  1. Enter a name for the cleansing rule in the input field “Title”.
  2. From the drop-down menu “Order”, select the desired option. You can choose between:
    • Before transformation: The attribute value modification also affects the supplier attributes.
    • After transformation: The attribute value modification only affects the iPIM Supply attributes.
  3. Possibly tick the “Activate rule” checkbox to activate the rule.

The cleansing rule that is shown here takes the value that was mapped to the attribute “Att3001” and distributes it among the attributes “Test77” and “Test78”.
  1. Possibly tick the checkbox “Internal rule” to determine that the cleansing rule is an internal rule. Internal rules can be used as subordinate rule of certain rule types such as “Conditional attribute setting”.

    1. Click on the Add button. Following this, an additional menu appears.
    2. Select an iPIM Supply attribute from the menu.
    3. Possibly repeat these steps to add additional iPIM Supply attributes.
  6. Possibly configure a test run and carry it out in order to check if the configuration of the rule is valid.
