First introduced in version 5.5.2: This validation rule can be used to check list of values attributes if they possess values that are not valid in the categories assigned to the respective items.
In the process of a transformation, the validation rule is applied to the transformed iPIM Supply attributes.
In order to set up a validation rule of this type, proceed as follows:
- Select the rule type “Category-related lookup value validator” from the menu.
- Click on the
button to call up the corresponding dialog box.
- Enter a name for the validation rule in the input field “Title”.
- Possibly enter a short description in the input field “Description”.
- Possibly tick the “Activate rule” checkbox to activate the rule.
- Possibly tick the “External rule” checkbox to define the rule as an external rule so that the validation result is also visible in iPIM SSP.
- Possibly tick the “Internal rule” checkbox to define the rule as an internal rule. An internal rule can be used as a subordinate rule of validation rules of particular rule types (since version 5.4.2).
- Possibly configure a test run and carry it out in order to check if the configuration of the rule is valid.
- In order to finish the configuration, click on the
button. If the process was successful, a corresponding message will appear. The validation rule of is now set up. - In order to cancel the process, click on the
button.
