Duplicate item validator

Validation rules of this type can be used to check imported item data if the corresponding items already exist in iPIM Supply. In the process, it is checked whether an imported value for a specified reference attribute already exists for an item in iPIM Supply. If this is the case, the validation fails for the respective item(s).

Note
In the process of a transformation, the validation rule is applied to the transformed iPIM Supply attributes.

In order to set up a validation rule of this type, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the rule type “Duplicate item validator” from the menu.
  2. Click on the Add button to call up the corresponding dialog box.
  1. Enter a name for the validation rule in the input field “Title”.
  2. Possibly enter a short description in the input field “Description”.

  3. Possibly add further reference attributes:

    • Warning: The corresponding items are flagged with a warning.
    • Rule: A subordinate rule is carried out. Select the subordinate rule from the menu (since version 5.4.2).
